Monitoring Social Development and Inclusion at the Local Level

COSP-18 Side-Event

Where and When:
Tuesday, June 10th, 2025
11:00 AM – 12:15 PM EDT
Hybrid: via Zoom and in person at UNDP, United Nations Headquarters, New York

Note: In-person attendance requests must be submitted by May 31st due to limited capacity.

Five years are left to achieve the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its pledge to “leave no one behind.”
Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 10 emphasizes that “inequality within and among countries is a persistent cause for concern.”

Persons with disabilities are at particular risk of being left behind, and yet there is limited data on how their experiences vary across locations within countries.

This COSP18 side-event will spotlight innovative approaches to generating local-level data on the rights of persons with disabilities.
