Monitoring Social Development and Inclusion at the Local Level

Where and When:

11:00 AM – 12:15 PM EDT

Five years are left to achieve the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its pledge to “leave no one behind.”
Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 10 emphasizes that “inequality within and among countries is a persistent cause for concern.”
Persons with disabilities are at particular risk of being left behind, and yet there is limited data on how their experiences vary across locations within countries.
This COSP18 side-event will spotlight innovative approaches to generating local-level data on the rights of persons with disabilities.
