South Asia Data Workshop: We recently convened a panel of diverse stakeholders on how data collection, analysis and use support monitoring disability rights with a focus on South Asia. Summary.
Co-creation Workshop on Using the DDI Databases to Inform Disability Advocacy and Inclusive Policies and Programmes in Durban, South Africa: Workshop participants, including members of the disability sector, provided feedback on the DDI website and databases and co-developed dissemination materials.
Presentations at Inclusive Africa and at the Global Data Festival in Kenya, June 2026: Participants engaged with the DDI databases. They welcomed their functionality and the availability of estimates at the subnational level for implementers and advocates. They highlighted the need for more data on violence, insecurity, and for training for organizations of persons with disabilities to use the databases for reporting purposes.
